The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team. This role will be a true generalist working in all areas of human resources. You will be given the opportunity to implement, manage and develop new progressive HR policies that reflect the ethos of the JD Group and support the future direction of our business as we continue to grow.

What you will be doing:

• Support in executing annual employee performance review and compensation review
• Using LinkedIn and other job sites, promote the business as a top employer in the retail space
• Process employee changes including terminations on our HRIS system, Ceridian Dayforce
• Using Ceridian Dayforce and other internal systems to ensure internal processes are streamlined and efficient
• Manage Health and Safety programs for retail, warehouse and office teams
• Work on updating existing and draft new policies to support with business goals
• Creating salary bands across the organization to aid with salary review process and for ad hoc requests
• Working with stakeholders across the business, draft the employee newsletter with all relevant news and events across the business
• Drive employee engagement strategies through surveys, employee perks and creating a positive work environment
• Generate reports to support business needs and audit employee records to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Support with ad hoc requests when required
• Support with recruitment during busy periods

What you possess:

• Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen.
• Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is an asset.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment dealing with change and continuously shifting requirements.
• 2+ years of experience in a generalist role, preferably a retail environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
