Your role, and all the fun stuff you’ll do:
The Global Brand Content Specialist is responsible for producing quality content for the Intrepid brand. Leveraging a deep understanding of how content influences customers at each point of the customer journey, this role will ensure smooth operations of Intrepid’s online brand publication, The Good Times, and assist with editorial work that increases brand engagement.
This role will work with key stakeholders and take a holistic approach to content production using a commercial mindset, but always with customers at the centre. It is this role’s responsibility to maintain a high-quality, error-free product with a consistent brand voice, tone and message. By building good working relationships with relevant stakeholders, including freelance contributors, this role will ensure all written content is factually correct, reflects the Intrepid brand and its values, and helps achieve business objectives. This is a role where your skills with words are used to create content that connects with customers and converts.
This is a full-time 13-month maternity leave cover, that operates on a hybrid basis out of our office in Toronto or remotely from the US or Canada for the right candidate.
A bit about you:
- Prior experience working with writers, editing their work and maintaining strong working relationships
- A relevant degree in marketing, media, journalism, communications, or a similarly related field.
- A strong understanding of modern content consumption and the ability to create engaging content across multiple channels.
- Proven experience in effectively communicating information to a variety of audiences, on a variety of mediums, globally.
- A strong familiarity with online marketing best practices, including SEO and digital marketing methods.
- These skills and experience are preferred. If you think you’ve got what we need, we want to hear from you.
- A demonstrated ability to harness data and digital insights to produce content that meets business objectives.
- Experience in using content management systems such as WordPress and Drupal.
You’ll be a customer-focused, results-oriented self-starter with a desire to create continuous business improvement. Your strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build successful relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders will be the catalyst to your success in this role. Most importantly, you will share Intrepid’s core values of integrity, innovation, fun, passion, growth, and responsibility.
A bit about our people:
Our people reflect the diversity of our customers and the communities we visit. Our team is made up of 58 nationalities across 46 countries, and Intrepid recognises that diversity makes us a stronger business. With a commitment to breaking down barriers, we support a culture where people can be themselves. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, including First Nation People, LGBTQI+ people, people living with a disability, people from previously disadvantaged backgrounds and people from different ethnicities, races and religions.
