As the Associate Director,Full-Funnel Brand & Media Strategy, you’ll lead, develop and inspire a dedicated team of brand marketing professionals to push the boundaries of growth!

Help us express our brand across traditional and digital channels while taking our national and regional campaigns to the next level. Our tight-knit, cross-functional team of Brand, Performance, Partnerships, Creative, Business Insights and more will encourage your ingenuity in a fun and innovative environment.


Our Associate Director is responsible for our locally-produced content and leads full-funnel media planning to help us drive brand consideration and love in Canada. Examples of campaigns range from our national NHL Sponsorship campaigns to our city-based Local Goods restaurant features. You’ll drive content strategy and get hands-on with our agency and internal production teams creating TV, online video, OOH, and Social Media campaigns. To ensure Canadian needs are fully met, you will also be the key liaison with our Global Team (out of Amsterdam) who you will work closely when Global campaigns are being developed.


We like doing things differently and that includes our media buying. So, we’re looking for someone with a thorough knowledge of the Canadian media landscape who is alert to trends, and open to innovation. This role oversees full funnel media planning across all traditional and digital channels.


Given the scope of the role, the size of the team and the visibility and impact potential of our marketing efforts, we require an individual who possesses a high degree of maturity and professionalism. They must be a critical thinker with strong marketing and business acumen. They must have great team management and development skills. A bias for action and a results orientation are critical to success within this highly competitive and fast-moving industry.


What’s On Your Plate


  • Lead brand partnership execution including NHL Sponsorships and local activations like Pride.
  • Lead Organic Social strategy development. Oversee execution.
  • Lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns from start to finish alongside internal stakeholders and agency partners (tasks include creating marketing briefs, creative concepting, project management, and full-funnel media planning).
  • Lead monthly business and brand reporting looking both at macro performance trends as well as campaign-specific reviews. Ensure marketing campaigns are tracked and measured appropriately to demonstrate effectiveness and return of investment.
  • Lead Strategic Annual Planning - Includes Key Issues and Opportunities Identification, Strategy Development and Tactical Planning.
  • Lead and develop a team of 4 marketing professionals. Leverage high EQ to provide effective coaching techniques to promote a learning and growth environment. Guide and support your team’s navigation through the execution of a broad range of marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with our Performance and eCRM teams to ensure campaigns are maximized through the line.
  • Lead, in close partnership with our Insights Team, the customer insights learning plan.
  • Oversee the management of the Brand budget with a constant eye on optimization to maximize business results.


Experience & Qualifications


  • Strong relationship-builder with a proven track record of navigating cross-functional and agency-led projects efficiently and effectively.
  • 10+ years of people management experience - 5+ with at least 3 direct reports.
  • Experience across the media landscape and passion for critically evaluating and delivering innovative media plans..
  • Positive team player that isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or other related fields; an MBA would be an asset.
  • A highly analytical, data-driven strategic thinker focused on results and continuous improvement.
  • A disciplined and organized approach to managing a team around set business and brand priorities. Has the ability to navigate change in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Tier 1 CPG experience, either directly or on the agency-side, is a strong asset. Experience related to media, advertising, brand or marketing strategy/planning are all relevant.
  • A senior marketing professional with minimum 10 years of experience and a proven track record leading big brands to success.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
