Job Description
Are you looking to join our hyper-growth company to build our marketing programs for Becel, Violife, and Country Crock across all channels?


Location: Hybrid - 3 days remote and 2 days a week in our downtown Toronto Office!


About The Position


This is an exciting time to join a leading plant-based foods company with aggressive ambitions for 2023 and beyond. Upfield Canada’s marketing team is looking for someone to support and build our marketing efforts across brands such as (Becel, Violife & Country Crock) on both our Retail and Foodservice businesses. In this role, you will work collaboratively with the brand managers to develop product definitions, manufacturability, pricing, sales tools, and promotional plans for innovation launches, take ownership of artwork packaging updates and approvals from briefing to print/production, assist in creating branded channel strategy including website and social media handles (FB, IG, Twitter etc.), provide Marketing admin support in preparation for innovation launches, brand campaigns, and other product initiatives, stay on top of food trends as well as competitive market intelligence, including competitive landscape, products, and benchmarking to assist with special marketing projects as needed, collaborate with internal cross functional stakeholders, sales teams and customers on business expansion opportunities, manage multiple foodservice marketing and sales focused projects, including lead generation initiatives, trade media and social media campaigns, collaborate with cross-functional teams of sales, R&D, Legal and Procurement to optimize Foodservice portfolio of products, and assist in innovation funnel for this channel, prepare promotional marketing materials such as product samples, spec sheets, sell sheets, and presentations, organize, plan and execute promotional events, such as sampling demonstration and tradeshows, and prepare post-evaluations, and roll up sleeves and build relationships and activities with key Foodservice Customers & chefs. This role will report to a Brand Manager and will work closely with the broader Canadian marketing team as well as North American and Global counterparts.

Combining Brand and Foodservice is an exciting and deliberate choice to find synergies and complementary opportunities between the critical restaurant/chef community and building our brands in retail. An aptitude and passion for food, Social media, data led marketing, and familiarity with foodservice is a HUGE asset! Ideally, we'd love to find someone with 3+ years of relevant marketing experience.
