Engineering Project Coordinator Jobs

The Role

Reporting to the Engineering Project Manager, the Project Coordinator is responsible to ensure various projects are delivered on time or ahead of the planned schedule in the region.

Major Responsibilities

• Maintain all projects related documentation, include but not limited to records of all testing and inspections, licensing, and permit requirements, etc
• Perform any other duties assigned by the superior(s)
• Provide assistance to Project Manager in the coordination, scheduling, reporting and quality control functions
• Interpret and read technical drawings, drawing records, subsequent revisions
• Supervise progress of on-site construction, minimize circumstances leading project delay
• Monitor project progress in regular basis, ensure projects are delivered on schedules
• Maintain regular communication with relevant T&T internal departments/stores and outside trades/contractors/vendors

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements

• Ability to travel as required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to communicate in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is an asset
• Possess mechanical and electrical knowledge is an asset
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in construction management in supermarkets or retail stores
• Ability to operate CAD design software is a MUST
• Able to interpret and read blueprints and other technical documents
• Familiar with local stipulations and legal compliance is an asset
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Proficient in Microsoft office programs
• Good working knowledge in project management, including cost control, scheduling, standards, corporate policies, and procedures
• Bachelor’s degree/College diploma related to Engineering or related disciplines
• Have a high level of integrity and work ethics; able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively
