Customer Manager - Walmart

The Customer Manager, Walmart Oral Care manages all aspects of Colgate's relationship with the Walmart customer. This position negotiates with the customer to achieve the company's 5P strategies for all of Colgate's brands/categories and deliver annual sales/share targets within spending parameters. A key member of the Customer Development Organization, this person will help drive superior business results through relationship building, solid analytics, program evaluation, and development and delivery of business plans.

What You'll Do

• Analyze customer demand, sales volumes, current and future trends, and own the process for assigned categories
• Utilize efficiently available Category Management Tools (eg. Nielsen Desktop) and Atlas to understand consumption and shipment data to identify brand/category performance trends and opportunities
• Strategize and recommend promotional plans which meet specific customer needs and company sales goals
• Work independently to develop, negotiate and implement a Customer Plan to achieve Financial and 5P Objectives for all of Colgate's brands/categories, and deliver annual sales/share targets
• Collaborate with cross functional teams such as the Customer Development, Marketing and Supply Chain functions to build business opportunities and ensure planning accuracy.
• Deliver sales targets within investment guidelines and alignment with brand strategy

• Responsible for directly managing Walmart OMNI channel, fostering strong account relationships, strategically planning business to grow/drive sales and ensuring profit goals are met
• Develop the relationship across the customer's organization (buying, merchandising , retailing, ecomm) and build customer intelligence as it relates to Colgate's Financial and 5P

Required Qualifications

• Experience in developing strategies and plans to respond to shoppers/customer trends delivering against the commercial goals
• Proficient skills in Retail Link, Microsoft applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Lotus Notes, ACN's Workstation Plus
• 5-7+ years experience in a Customer Development role in the consumer products industry
• 3-5+ years experience in a Customer manager role managing Walmart

Preferred Qualifications

• Category Management experience and field sales experience a plus
• BBA, B. Comm or equivalent degree
