Job Description

Our client, located in Mississauga is a large successful organization within the Hospitality industry and they are looking for a Billing and Payroll coordinator. This position will be responsible for assisting with payroll, creating and sending invoices, tracking receipts, reconciling accounts and resolving any discrepancies, following up on invoices and responding to customer inquiries and issues as needed.


Key Responsibilities


  • Correspond with franchisees to answer their questions, follow up on outstanding payments, and resolve any billing-related issues
  • Participate in the monthly close process and ensure all timelines are met
  • Collect and update billing data and the billing file
  • Reconcile, analyze, and follow up on account discrepancies
  • Assist with the completion of payroll
  • Monitor payments and accounts to look for any discrepancies
  • Analyze billing procedures and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure the accuracy of billing information
  • Complete special projects and other duties as required
  • Assist in the year-end audit and the billing system conversion
  • Build key relationships and collaborate with colleagues at International partners
  • Prepare and send invoices to franchisees and other customers
  • Complete other account reconciliations


Requirements

  • Attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask without compromising the accuracy of work
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and to pleasantly communicate with franchisees
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or related discipline
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of accounting software, such as Oracle, is an asset
  • Strong numerical aptitude and excellent customer service skills
  • At least 2 years of working experience in accounting or finance department, ideally with prior payroll experience
  • Experience with collections is an asset
  • Excellent time management and documentation skills
