As Americas Regional Category Lead Electronics, you will be provided with a great variety of tasks. You will oversee a spend portfolio of up to $45MUSD per year and your main mission will be to define, coordinate and implement sourcing strategies for Electronic Manufacturing Services, assemblies, and components with a focus on optimizing costs, quality, delivery, and reliability in concert with the Global Category Manager and the Regional Supply Chain Organization.

Your responsibilities

• Implementing actions when needed. Initiating and improving excellence and supplier performance, best practice, continuous improvement, and best cost country sourcing
• Contributing to R&D and NPI projects - responsible for support to R&D projects next generation products development. Responsible for supplier selections for the R&D projects according to pre-ferred/agreed supplier portfolio in the category
• Managing supply chain risk ensuring mid and long-term planning is in place to mitigate potential supply shocks and changes to regulatory landscape. Proactively monitor risks, engaging in escalations and other material management initiatives appropriate to the category. Ensure component availability and necessary flexibility to meet business needs and manage costs through product lifecycles
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships and business understanding of the various sites in the region by interacting with site management and division leadership and maintaining strong relationships with cross-functional departments such as engineering, R&D, sales and operations
• Driving and defining a category strategy for the region in accordance with stakeholder requirements and in alignment with the global strategy. This includes spend and market analysis, definition of needs and segmentation of current and potential suppliers and driving of actions required for successful implementation of the category strategy
• Negotiating with main suppliers, and periodically renewing price lists, terms and conditions, conduct-ing RFX; price negotiations, supplier selection and cost saving activities
• Defining and establishing agreements with major suppliers, while providing and maintaining stand-ard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with company directives and guidelines regarding savings, inventory management, payment terms, OTD, quality, lead time, budget target settings and KPIs monthly follow up
• Implementing supplier level strategic work, introducing new suppliers to category portfolio in respect to the agreed division strategy and communicating market trends including market drivers, cost structures, supply outlooks and technical developments

Your background

• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• Sound knowledge of procurement systems, processes, and practices and the electronic components market
• SAP experience and extensive experience in negotiation management and negotiation tactics
• Wide range know-how in supplier management and supplier relationship
• Experience working in/with R&D and Projects
• Very good understanding of contract management
• ISM or CSPM Certification a plus
• Strong project management and communication skills with the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
• Knowledge of SAP Ariba, SiliconExpert, HIS Markit software
• Bachelors' degree and more than 5 years' experience in supply chain management or purchasing or logistics or inventory planning or sourcing or operations or finance or engineering with a minimum of 2 years strategic sourcing; or high school diploma and 9 years’ experience in supply management with a minimum of 2 years strategic sourcing
• Experience in working in international environments and managing stakeholders of varying management levels
• Knowledge of electronic manufacturing services and assemblies, passive and active components
