Job Description

We have an opening for a Solutions Consultant to join our Technical Sales team to fill the role of technical expert on all Copperleaf solution offerings. You will be a key part of the sales process and know how to find customer’s pain points and resolve them using software.
Region & Language:
Your role will be based between your home, the Copperleaf office (if in Vancouver), and clients across North America. You can expect to be on the road around 25-40% of the time visiting clients. During COVID, travel expectations will vary based on target account locations and relevant Copperleaf guidelines, account guidelines, and local/federal regulations. Your schedule and home location are flexible – balance your time to suit you!
Responsibilities:
  • Product Sales and Demonstrations
  • Attending conferences/trade shows and working in Copperleaf’s booth to interact with prospects and provide ad hoc demonstrations as required
  • Identifying and managing prospects, including sales strategy to reach a closed sale
  • Developing presentation materials
  • Presenting our products (slides, demonstrations) at Sales Meetings
  • Demo Management:

  • Working with product teams to manage demo content, demo environments, demo scripts, and other technical requirements
  • Providing input towards product advancements to meet emerging and competitive requirements in the marketplace
  • Designing process improvements and helping prospects visualize how Copperleaf solutions would fit in their enterprise
  • Solution Architecture
  • Developing technical solutions, project scoping, and enterprise architecture for prospective customers
  • Configuring software for custom demonstrations
  • Completing proposals and responding to RFXs

  • Contributing to internal team and process improvements

Your Background:
  • French or Spanish language proficiency is an asset, but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical/engineering field, or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge or strong interest in a relevant domain; asset management and/or electricity, oil & gas, water, transportation
  • Experience in a software pre-sales role or experience in software implementation to large enterprises
