Job Description


The Administrative Support Assistant is the hub of the Medical and Dental Claims Management team. In this dynamic and exciting role, you will be responsible for general office duties including logging and assigning all incoming work into the department, paper and electronic filing, and administrative support to all staff in this highly productive and customer-focused department.


What You Will Do


  • Coordinate courier deliveries.
  • Maintain department filing in electronic format.
  • Support our Technical Support Assistant during vacation.
  • Log and assign all incoming work into the team which is received by paper, email, and Workflow.
  • Assist team with sending letters to plan members and providers when required.
  • Send documents to Translation Services when required.
  • Periodically sort faxes received from shared fax machine for all units on a rotating schedule.
  • Distribute mail to staff within the team.

  • Perform other administrative duties and assist with other tasks and teams as required.


What You Will Bring


  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in an environment with fluctuating work volumes.
  • Experience with Group Health Benefits systems (e.g., BEN, PAS) and Benefit Payment Office processes (e.g., CWF, NoteIt, eStorage) is an asset.
  • Ability to excel within a Purpose/Vision driven environment
  • Verbal and written communication should be clear and concise.
  • Preferred experience with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
