Align with Manager to build and execute on a comprehensive strategic plan to exceed sales revenue targets on a quarterly basis. Collaborate with Manager, Marketing and other business unit colleagues to identify and close revenue generating opportunities. Provide detailed and bold sales forecasts; identifying risk, action items, and resources needed to achieve. This role involves fluidly and cohesively working across the Medtronic matrix and with key customers to evolve the role according to rapidly changing marketdynamics.


The purpose of the position is the development of long-term relationships with customers. Own, lead and contribute to the account blue sheet and strategic selling process. Liaise with Strategic Partnership Manager (SPM) and Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for accountdevelopment.


A day in the life.


Ø Promotes and sells Medtronic's products and services within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed salestargets.


Ø Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcareprofessionals.


Ø Responsible for pursuing leads, assessing needs, and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's products and/orservices.


Ø Promotes and establishes education of the company's products and/orservices.


Ø Conducts market research including customers and competitors’activities.


Ø Implements market development plans/strategies and changes asneeded.


Ø Communicates customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing.


Ø Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions(ADR)


Ø Foster a strategic approach to drive consistentgrowth.


Ø Be laser focused to exceed AOP, each quarter, while diligently managingexpenses.


Ø Bold and accurate forecasting iskey!


Ø Effectively managing/optimizing consignment inventory iscritical.


Ø The position requires a true entrepreneurial, ‘hunter’skillset.


Ø WithManager,coordinatetheschedulesoflocalClinicalSpecialists(whereapplicable) to optimize procedural case coverage/patient programming and other requiredtasks.


Ø Successful completion of required (and ongoing) product and sales related training curriculum.


Ø Compliance with completing Medtronic functional training and educationmodules.


Ø Manage hospital, SSO and GPO contracts (Pre-tender, Tender,Implementation).


Ø Building a robust Capital Funnel and associated Sales Plan isessential.


Ø Optimize increasing technical scope that often crosses OUlines


Ø Clearly articulate strategic objectives to navigate and deliver value to Provincial healthcaresystems.


Ø Establish education programs related to the company's products and/orservices.


Ø Drive share within the defined market andterritory


Ø Ability to support account clinical support demands asrequired.


Ø Implement and execute launch plans for definedportfolio


Ø Develop relationships and maintain continuity within the definedmarket


Ø Liase with marketing and engage key clinical stakeholders and administrators in a broader “value” story regarding the related product offering associated with the position


Must Have.


Ø Bachelor’s degree


Ø Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in the healthcarefield.


Ø Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time. Travel will include over-nights and weekends.


Ø Must have a valid driver’s license with norestrictions.


Ø High level of integrity, ethics andcompliance.


Ø Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule. Role often involvesevenings, weekends and Provincialholidays.


Ø Ability to work independently andproactively.


Ø Collaborative approach and teamoriented.


Ø Strong troubleshooting and problem-solvingskills.


Ø Knowledge of related anatomy and/or surgical procedures anasset


Ø Strong presentationskills.


Ø Proficiency with Excel, Word,PowerPoint.
