Job overview
Join our Sales team as an FX Sales Account Manager, where you'll play a crucial role in nurturing existing client relationships, while also exploring new client opportunities. Acting as the bridge between Clients and the Dealing team, you'll collaborate closely with Compliance and Risk departments to ensure strict adherence to regulatory mandates.
To excel in this role, you'll need a deep understanding of Monex's diverse product offerings and the regulatory landscape that guides our operations. Your expertise will empower you to effectively promote these products to both new and established clients, always prioritizing their long-term interests and ensuring equitable outcomes that benefit both you and the firm.
What you will do
Sales related activities
Actively involved in all aspects of the 360 sales cycle:
- Maintaining current market knowledge (e.g. reading financial press, attending webinars, networking, etc.);
- Prospecting & lead generation (sourcing & pitching);
- Post sales follow-Up, repeat sales & upselling;
- Developing & maintaining strong client relationships (via Dealing team where appropriate).
- Presentations & documentation;
- Planning sales calls, meetings, post-call follow ups;
- Meeting set sales targets/ KPI’s on a weekly/ monthly/ quarterly/ annual basis;
- Maintaining accurate pipeline and forecast;
- Keeping accurate records and client interaction notes in the company database.
- Owning/ implementing sales;
Compliance, Risk & Regulatory
- Engaging with the client with integrity, ensuring high service standards and in accordance with company policies;
- Liaise with Risk and Dealing re. credit facilities;
- Ensuring adequate knowledge of their client (KYC) to enable the firm to deliver appropriate and suitable products and services;
- Ensure that the role as first line defense is undertaken with diligence.
- Understand and adhere to Monex’s complaints procedure and escalating where necessary;
- Identify and appropriately manage conflicts of interest in accordance with regulatory and company requirements;
- Working effectively and collaboratively with Financial Crime and Regulatory Compliance teams to complete the client onboarding process in line with company and regulatory requirements;
Essential skills required
- Lead sourcing;
- B2B sales experience – selling to corporates and SMEs (preferably into MDs, CFOs, CEOs);
- Self-driven and financially motivated.
- Strong sales skills – including listening, problem solving, assessing clients’ needs, objection handling and closing;
- At least 1-5 years of cold calling experience – self-sourcing and calling new prospects;
Beneficial skills
- Previous FX work experience – working in a non-banking FX environment;
- Financial product knowledge – FX (spots, forwards, swaps, derivatives).
