Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Business Analyst with a strong background in foreign exchange (FX). As a Business Analyst with FX experience, you will play a pivotal role in understanding and analyzing business needs related to FX trading and operations, collaborating with various stakeholders to drive the development and enhancement of FX systems, processes, and strategies. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that our Client’s FX operations are optimized for efficiency, risk management, and compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Elicit, document, and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements related to FX trading platforms, risk management tools, compliance systems, and other FX-related technologies. Translate business needs into clear and concise specifications for development teams.
• Assess and mitigate operational and regulatory risks associated with FX trading. Collaborate with compliance and risk management teams to ensure adherence to industry regulations and best practices.
• System Enhancement: Work closely with IT teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Participate in the design, development, and testing phases of FX-related software projects. Ensure alignment between business needs and technology solutions.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for streamlining FX trading processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and reducing risk. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and monitor their effectiveness.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of FX trading processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas of improvement, efficiency gains, and risk mitigation. Collaborate closely with business units and stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
• Serve as a bridge between business units, technology teams, and senior management. Communicate effectively to ensure a clear understanding of FX-related projects, status updates, and potential roadblocks.
• Utilize your strong analytical skills to assess FX market trends, trade data, and pricing information. Generate insights to support decision-making and strategy formulation for FX trading activities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of FX trading processes, requirements, system designs, and project timelines. Ensure that all documentation adheres to internal standards and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with FX trading platforms, risk management systems, and regulatory compliance in the FX domain.
• Problem-solving mindset and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations.
• Proficiency in data analysis, utilizing tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization platforms.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Professional certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or relevant FX certifications are a plus.
• Strong understanding of foreign exchange markets, trading strategies, and pricing models.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy in documentation and analysis.
• Proven experience (X years) as a Business Analyst in the financial services industry, with a specific focus on FX trading and operations.
