The role we are offering you:


The Team Lead - Technical Product Management is responsible for the solution definition for the Crew Tracking capabilities that are leveraged across our Crew Management Platform. The platform enables enhanced long-term planning, innovative tracking and management, and disruption management decision support to help carriers manage crew schedules and keep crew members informed with real-time data.


In this role you will be responsible for operating in lockstep with product management team to create a clear strategic direction to build needs for products in your team's portfolio. You will work with the team and deliver a clear and descriptive set of requirements to enable the delivery of products, features and functionality. Your priority will be seamless integration and alignment of perspectives from a broad set of stakeholders like Product Managers, Technical Anchors, Service Owners and Developers. Are you ready to:


  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver features and significant products.
  • Engage frequently with the development teams, facilitates discussions, provides clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation, contributes to design activities and decisions.
  • Work with Sr Product Managers, Internal/External Customers and Stakeholders. Routinely collaborates with UX in design decisions as applicable.
  • Interact with customers/stakeholders in VOC requirement gathering, fine tuning, and obtaining product feedback.
  • Own the releases and sprint backlogs short-term roadmap for MVPs ( minimum viable product ) and quarterly releases.
  • Own and manage the backlog, continuously order and prioritize to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations of backlog are always ready.
  • Partners with Development Leadership/Service Owners to ensure healthy development process.
  • Translates unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work unit.
  • Mentors junior team members.
  • Prioritize continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs.
  • Demonstrate superior persuasion and influencing skills that ensure alignment between customer, product manager and engineering teams.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the technology stack and impact on final product.
  • Demonstrate excelling business acumen, know latest industry trends and you are looked at as an internal expert on the product as well as the associated competitive landscape.
  • Demonstrate strategic level skills in problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity.


Our ideal candidate has:


  • Working experience or sound knowledge of Cloud based applications.
  • Previous crew management experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in software engineering and application design and development process with at least 3 years in the Product Management process preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • Good knowledge and experience with SAFe, Agile methodologies and best practices.
  • Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related computer field preferred
  • Good Development experience in application development preferably in Java/J2EE, Microservices, Webservices, UX space.
