Technical Lead Jobs

Our Calgary-based partner is seeking an experienced and versatile Technical Lead to assist in improving our information technology systems for custom application development.

In this role, the successful candidate’s duties will include developing software programs that improve our business operations, roadblock solutions expeditiously and collaboratively, ensuring project excellence, selecting technology (UDF, methods, and functions) necessary to convert requirements into functional code, the potential for hands-on coding (rare), and daily communication with the business/stakeholders. The ability to share knowledge with more junior team members will be required.

To ensure success as our Technical Lead, you should demonstrate experience and creativity in system development, application design, collaboration, attention to technical excellence, project optimization, and customer satisfaction. An outstanding Technical Lead will have the ability to apply their IT expertise with well-developed, in-depth business knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Perform system analyses on software programs, applications, and web services.
• Overseeing the development and implementation of technical business projects and solutions.
• Ensure end-user proficiency with the solutions upon completion of development.
• Reporting to management and obtaining approval for development projects.
• Promotes system security by adhering to corporate policies and challenging the status quo.
• Determining appropriate technologies, system efficiency, and functionality by collaborating with internal departments and end-users.
• Efficiently integrating new programs, and applications with business operations and services.
• Knowledge of relevant licensing and industry guidelines/guardrails or compliance standards with common programming languages.
• Ensuring that our hardware and integrations remain compatible with upcoming enhancements, new technologies, and updates.
• Analyzing and improving the performance of existing in-scope applications, integrations, and systems.
• Working effectively with Technical and Non-Technical team members and customers.
• Can effectively facilitate meetings, brainstorming sessions, and consensus building among multiple options, and communicate well with all levels of people within the organization.
• Ensuring end-user satisfaction, welcoming changing requirements, and attention to technical excellence and good design throughout the development process.
• Ability to design and maintain efficient customer portal support and feedback channels.

Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (Business, Computer Science, Information Technology), accredited qualification in management consultancy, or years of experience instead of.
• Able to identify appropriate tech for each project.
• PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, PowerPages
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to take on a leadership role.
• Advanced knowledge of programming languages like:

• Extensive experience in technical business analysis in a related field (preferred).
