Specialty Health Network by Shoppers supports our pharmacies to provide the best patient care to patients who require specialty drugs. We deliver Patient Support Programs for our pharma clients, provide physicians with resources to manage their patients, facilitate reimbursement, and enhance patient compliance. We deliver superior customer service to patients, healthcare providers and pharmaceutical manufacturers to improve healthcare outcomes for all stakeholders.

We are hiring a Senior Manager, Virtual Card Services to support our delivery of Payment Assistance Cards for clients (e.g., Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Patient Support Programs).

Basic Function

The Senior Manager Virtual Card Services sets SHN’s Payment Assistance Card strategy and is responsible for overseeing the team responsible for its implementation and ongoing success. The role will have high visibility as the spokesperson for our Payment Assistance Card capabilities across the Shoppers Drug Mart enterprise. The role will also be client facing and the successful candidate may be involved in presenting our capabilities and contributing to RFP pitches to potential and current clients. The successful candidate will also collaborate with many internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to Pharma Clients, Vendors, Program and Reimbursement Managers, Business Insights and Intelligence teams, and Digital Health teams. 4 main areas of focus for this role are:

Development, implementation, and management of Payment Assistance Card strategies for new program launches and amendments. Subject Matter Expert and team member for every program launch. This includes maintaining, updating, and terminating cards, certifications, or policies as needed. Developing Pharmacy-level auditing to ensure our Payment Assistance Card strategy is optimized for patient care and cost-containment strategies. This also includes approving invoices for payment and providing access to reports to other colleagues. Ensuring team can Manage Virtual Card escalations from different teams and pharmacies. This includes troubleshooting and providing technical assistance, along with training colleagues on Virtual Card best practices. Developing and Managing Projects related to the success of our Virtual Card strategy. This may include but is not limited to creating job aids and submitting technology enhancement requests.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Prior leadership experience through project ownership or managing teams
• Innovative drive and creativity
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Familiarity with CRM platforms such as salesforce
• A team player with the desire to provide superior customer care
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in pharmacy and/or reimbursement space
• Experience managing large datasets in excel
• Must work well under pressure, with changing deadlines from external forces, changing priorities, and projects with multiple individuals within the organization
