Project Coordinator [Security Services]
Location: 1076 Ellesmere Road
Facilities Management
Status: Permanent Full-Time
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the designated supervisor, is responsible for providing coordination and support for security service requests, security projects, and facilities contracts.
Duties:
- Coordinates all documentation, including all correspondence from vendors, suppliers, and internal customer groups
- Maintains and replenishes inventory of security equipment hardware
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Prepares detailed reports and monitors schedules and graphs, and maintains accurate records of development and budgets on all assigned projects, initiates correction of deficiencies and warranty items
- Monitors and completes daily requests for building access and video footage
- Maintains effective working relations with contractors, consultants, library public service staff, area municipalities, government bodies and facility operations managers, supervisors, and staff
- Coordinates tender and scope documents to support development of Requests for Proposals. Provides advice, guidance and technical assistance to resolve issues with fobs, cameras, and building alarm system
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of and experience in the design and construction of institutional facilities with particular emphasis on construction related to relevant legislation, codes and practices including the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- A valid Ontario Driver's License Class “G”, and use of a personal vehicle for site visits preferred
- Thorough knowledge of and experience in the application of security best practices and facilities operations
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
- Understanding of accounting, invoice validation and processing
- Working knowledge of current project software Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience and demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of institutional facility operations and security functions
Salary: $88,015.20 per annum (2023 Rates)
