: Project Coordinator – Large ICI Multi-Residential Project
Our Project Coordinators are responsible for assisting the project management team with tendering, contract administration and coordination of on-site construction work, as well as managing some smaller projects independently.
This position is full-time, permanent, and will be located on site in Cornwall for the duration of the project. Health and retirement benefits are available following a probationary period.Training and on-going education are provided and encouraged.
Duties and responsibilities of Project Coordinators include, but are not limited to, the following:
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate project-related technical correspondence;
- Update project construction/trade schedules as required;
- Manage project correspondence and other time-sensitive documents;
- Manage, monitor and distribute project contract documents (i.e. RFIs, SIs, CCOs, COs);
- Complete construction layouts for a variety of projects;
- Attend project meetings, actively take notes, produce and distribute meeting minutes;
- Assist in the coordination and scheduling of project and construction meetings;
- Maintain and distribute tender and project logs;
- Oversee project close-out (i.e. deficiencies, O&M manuals, as-builts, warranties).
- Assist in tendering (i.e. invitations, logs, takeoffs, questions, calls, subcontract scopes, interpret quotes);
- Review and process technical product data/ shop drawing submittals;
- Maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and owners;
- Assist in reviewing and distributing change orders and pricing for same;
Required Qualifications and Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite and Adobe Acrobat;
- Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license with a clear abstract.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills;
- Ability to interpret contract documents (drawings and specifications);
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills;
- Degree or technical diploma;
- Diligent, industrious, positive, respectful, self-motivated & punctual;
Beneficial Qualifications and Skills
- Two years of project coordination/management experience in ICI construction;
- Bilingual in written/spoken English and French.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit;
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project;
