Project Coordinator - Infrastructure

GeoVerra is currently seeking a Project Coordinator to join our talented and collaborative Infrastructure team anywhere in Alberta. This role provides project production and technical support on Geomatics projects in both an office and field capacity. The role is responsible for supporting project managers to successfully secure and execute projects.

What you will do:

• Travel to field sites throughout Alberta to assist Project Managers and Field Crews.
• Provide support for field and office staff.
• Data processing and calculations.
• Proposal / fee estimate preparation.
• Client management.
• Work with and assist project manager through various aspects of a project life cycle including:
• Project closeout / evaluation.
• Preparation and review of field packages.
• Schedule and budget support.
• Preparation and checking of survey deliverables (engineering/construction and Legal products).

What you will bring:

• Self-motivated and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Member or eligible for registration with local Survey or Technologist Association considered an asset.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as per the limits provided in the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace.
• 5+ years’ experience in the Geomatics industry in the field and office.
• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of standard surveying principles, including but not limited to conventional, GNSS, Civil3D and terrain modelling.
• Willing and able to travel to field sites throughout Alberta on an as-needed basis.
• Completed training and valid tickets in First Aid, H2S and CSTS safety training is an asset.
• Diploma or Degree in Geomatics, Civil, Engineering Design & Drafting, or related discipline.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and processes considered an asset.
• Competent in Trimble Equipment.
• A valid Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract.
• Working knowledge of current AutoCAD and/or MicroSurvey software; Trimble Business Center (TBC) and Microsoft 365 software.
• 2+ years of previous project coordinator experience or related experience.
• Strong communication, time management, organizational and analytical skills.
• Safety first mindset and continuously contributing to maintaining a safe working environment for all team members.
• Keen attention to detail.
