Hybrid Model: In-Office (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) Remote (Wednesday and Friday)


Our client, a Canadian multinational energy transportation company with a focus on the transportation, distribution, and generation of energy, has an immediate need for a Project Coordinator. This is a contract position for one (1) year located in Edmonton, Alberta.


Description


Reporting into the Commissioning and Turnover group, this position will support projects in effective and efficient transition to the Business Units. This position will support Project Managers in navigating Project Lifecycle Gating Control (PLGC), Project Turnover, and Project Closeout requirements.


Scope/Dimensions


  • Efficient Gating, turnover and closeout of projects will significantly save projects cost and schedule.
  • Smoother turnover of projects will increase satisfaction of the Business Units


Accountabilities


  • Develop Project Closeout Plans
  • Support efficient and timely turnover and closeout of Projects.
  • Interaction with Project Teams members to ensure deliverables are complete and deficiencies/issues are resolved.
  • Represent Projects in Business Unit Operational Readiness Assurance (ORA) reviews.
  • Track and report on Project closeout status and issues to leadership
  • Track completion of key issues and deficiencies that impact turnover and closeout of Projects.
  • Interaction with stakeholders in the BUs to ensure reviews are complete, deliverables are received, and issues resolved.
  • Coordinate Project Lifecycle Gating Control reviews


Qualifications


  • Experience providing cost reporting and metrics
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Bachelors Degree in relevant industry
  • 5+ years of related experience in (PLGC) projects, including project turnover, Operational Readiness, Project Gating, and Project closeout.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to independently lead and/or coordinate work with diverse groups and individual personalities as appropriate (project team, internal and external stakeholders, customers and contractors).
