Responsibilities

• Support factory needs and requirements
• Ensuring a clean and tidy work environment is maintained
• Tracking and organizing process flow of projects
• Expedite schedules on a need basis
• Ensuring on-time deliverables are being maintained (by department)
• Assisting in developing production schedules (by departments)
• Grouping/kitting finished work and purchased items for future processes (Forming to Assembly)
• Ensuring sufficient inventory levels are being maintained
• Perform inspections of completed work or work in progress by using different types of calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices to determine the quality of parts.
• Assist with other tasks as directed by management
• Dimensionally confirm production parts meet drawing requirements (sign-off on drawings)
• Ensuring part quality requirements are maintained
• Reporting to upper management, as requested
• Escalate complex problems to manager
• Ensuring part quality requirements are maintained
• Read and understand Engineering & Assembly drawings
• Investigate production problems, analyze root causes and provide solutions
• Visual inspection of parts for orientation and finish
• Collaborating with Engineering, Sales and Production personal

Qualifications

• Understanding of Laser Cutting / Forming / Bending practices
• Strong understanding of process flow through a manufacturing facility
• Ability to work as a team
• Strong work ethic
• Understanding of machining practices
• Forklift certification will be a good asset
• People management skills
• Willingness to “get the job done”
• Independent work ethic
