Assistant Supervisor (Manufacturing) Jobs

TheAssistant Supervisoroversees all daily operations of the plant, directing and coordinating activities while ensuring policies and procedures are followed. Responsible for all manufacturing operations, including but not limited to Production Planning, Quality Assurance, Sanitation, Maintenance, Safety.

Responsibilities:

• Must have a valid forklift license to move material across the production floor.
• Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
• Monitor and set standards for operations and help identify and correct bottlenecks.
• Control and minimize labor overtime and repair costs.
• Guide department managers in development of labor usage strategies to better utilize resources.
• Help ensure HACCP, GMP’s, Standard Operating Procedures, and SQF programs are being followed.
• Ensure all plant personnel are operating in compliance with plant procedures and customer or regulatory requirements.
• Actively works with the HR Department in policy development - employee grievances - employee development issues and employee motivation.
• Provide overall leadership, direction, and coordination for Plant Operation, including Production, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, Scheduling, and Special Projects.
• Champions Safety. Actively monitors and supports all safety projects and efforts throughout the plant.
• Provide leadership, training, and development to new employees

Qualifications:

· Degree/ Diploma in related field of study preferred

· 2-3 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Able to accept and take on new challenges and effectively lead people through change

· Able to coordinate and supervise all plant activities

· Knowledgeable on all aspects of plant operations and management

Monday - Friday( 7 am - 3 pm)

Pay range: 21 $/hr - 23 $/hr
