Job Description

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our client’s team in Winnipeg, MB.

The successful candidate will be directly responsible for the fulfillment of customer and stock orders through design and execution of a production schedule, procurement plan, resource planning and stocking plan that ensures on time and in full delivery of orders as well as creating ample stock for future requirements.

You will also be responsible for the direction of warehouse personnel, warehousing activities, shipping and receiving operations, and execution of the shipping plan to ensure on time and in full delivery of orders.

The ideal candidate must have 3-5 years prior experience in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated abilities to coach, mentor, motivate, and lead a team of an average of 50 production workers per shift.

What you do

  • Promote and assist in the maintenance of the Quality Management System
  • Coordinate Preventative Maintenance program
  • Oversight of Warehouse, shipping, and receiving Operations
  • Collaborate with and advise Procurement staff on material needs for plant activities
  • Directs and manages all manufacturing operations and overall responsibility for production, maintenance, and any other postproduction-related activities.
  • Ensure all company policies and operating procedures including quality and health & safety guidelines are always followed.
  • Maintains operations standard for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety and improved efficiency
  • Support and promote GMP, Quality Initiatives, and Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives (5S, Lean, CI)
  • Create and execute production plans directed at successful fulfillment of customer orders and stock requirements
  • Allocate labor to tasks as required in collaboration with Production Lead / Production Planner
  • Conduct Employee Development Plans and Performance Reviews
  • Direct production processes with a focus on efficiency and deadlines
  • Train & develop Production & Warehouse staff, contribute to succession planning
