Job Description
We are a vertically integrated, growing fabricator within the GTA founded in 1947.We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our production operations. The Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of manufacturing workers and ensuring the efficient and timely completion of production tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. (functions & Responsibilities)


  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Train and develop manufacturing staff on proper procedures, techniques, and equipment usage to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
  • Monitor production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to implement process improvements and evaluate new technologies and equipment for production enhancement.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including inventory levels, production output, and employee performance.
  • Lead and supervise a team of manufacturing workers, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure smooth production processes.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning and identify potential maintenance needs.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, recognizing achievements, and addressing any conflicts or issues that may arise.


Requirements:


  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Solid understanding of quality control principles and practices.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in using computer software and systems related to production planning and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and best practices.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
  • 2-3 years proven experience as a manufacturing supervisor or a similar role in a production environment.
