Production Manager Jobs

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of a Production Manager in Scarborough, ON.

Estimated Salary: $65,000-$80,000

Responsibilities

• Assist Plant Manager in initiating and overseeing process improvements to ensure continuous enhancements to operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction
• Foster a team environment by clearly defining and communicating to associates their impact on individual and team performance.Set clear direction and energize the team.
• Ensures that all equipment and the facility meet HS&E standards and ensure compliance with any applicable legislation, assist with continual improvement projects and TS16949 requirements
• Plans, directs and coordinates all activities
• Works as part of the APQP team to ensure that all new product launches are on time and produced with the highest possible quality level and lowest possible cost
• Complete monthly and yearly department budget on a timely basis
• Trains, develops, and evaluates employees
• Provides shift supervision and scheduling
• Analyzes production and quality metrics and makes recommendations for improvements and solutions to issues that are identified
• Assist Plant Manager with overseeing daily activities of the plant operations and production
• Remain proactive in reducing and eliminating overtime hours
• Tracks key performance indicators to achieve production targets
• Providing assistance to solve problems and for Continuous Improvement projects
• Institute and maintain 5S policies and procedures in assigned department

Qualifications

• Automotive - Press and Robotic MIG welding experience is a must
• Minimum of three years’ experience as a Production Manager in a stamping & welding facility
• Strong technical background must include knowledge of sheet metal stamping processes and equipment, including punch presses, automatic presses, stamping presses, tooling, etc.
• Strong leadership and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of TS16949 policies & procedures
