Job Function:

• Ability to work in a team environment
• Follow all Knoll safety policies and procedures
• Ensure the holding zone is filled with units to be drilled
• Increase communication and information flow between Buffer, Drilling, and Assembly, Supervisor and Manager
• Participate in and contribute to the continuous improvement process
• Sequencing WA’s based on latest requirements and capacities
• Work with NCM system to capture scrap and rework
• Update production boards as prescribed
• Load pieces on to skids based on the skid quantities indicated on the work-order
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Maintain a closed loop flow control system
• Responsible for distribution of non-conformance materials
• Ability to work in a multi-shift environment including flexible hours and weekends
• Follow shop floor controls
• Perform required quality inspections
• Ensure only material that can be assembled is drilled
• Must be willing to cross-train in various areas of the department as required
• Maintain and follow the ISO standard operating procedures
• Participate and maintain 5S in the workplace
• Able to take the initiative to solve problems, where appropriate
• Prepare the short-list and the hot-list items

Education Requirement

• Must be able to communicate in English (both oral and written)
• Knowledge of finished colors and their identification codes, veneer substrates and sanding defects
• High School diploma or equivalent

Experience Requirement

• JD Edwards experience preferred
• Ability to read a Work Order (W.O) and a Work Order-Assembly (W.A.)
• Two (2) years of experience within manufacturing environment
• Ability to use a tape measure and measuring tools
• Ability to read and understand production drawings
