Our manufacturing client located in Cornwall, On is currently searching for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join their growing team. In your role as Manufacturing Manager you will be tasked with leading the manufacturing function with full accountability for ensuring safety, customer quality, and delivery requirements are met. Manage the team on best practice and establish standard policies and procedures while also mentoring and leading teams. Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in working practices and processes.
Duties:
· Responsible for Plant Production
· Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization
· Effectively and efficiently manage the production of the required daily/weekly/monthly targets and ensure the required best working practices are maintained at all times
· Communicate and liaise with other departmental managers regarding
throughput of stock to ensure production targets are met
· Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
· Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to
deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as
required
· Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety
and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and
wellbeing of staff and visitors
· Manage, coach and develop a high performing manufacturing team that
meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added
value and continuous improvements
· Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess targets
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as production manager
· Deep knowledge of production management
· Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
· Knowledge of performance evaluation
· Experience in reporting on key production metrics
· Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
· Outstanding communication ability
· Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
· Attention to detail
· Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
Education:
· Completion of a university program in engineering or business administration
· Five to ten years of managing experience in manufacturing are required
