Join a top employer and advance your career. Aplin has partnered with a Georgetown, Ontario-based company, an ISO9001 certified manufacturer of wiring harnesses, prototypes, and cable assemblies to hire a Plant Manager – Wire Harness Manufacturing.

The Role:

• Develop and deploy appropriate business processes in support of company strategic vision
• Develop and deploy LEAN and 5-S initiatives to improve processes
• Provide visible leadership to a production team of ~60 and model the company’s vision and values across their 24,000 sq ft ISO certified facility
• Develop and deploy programs to ensure that each facility continues to achieve world class safety levels
• Assist with new production launches and customer facing activities as required
• Provide direction and support to ensure production achieves zero defected outputs. and on time shipping
• Develop and deploy continuous improvement initiatives to improve processes and eliminate waste and non-value-added operations
• Provide effective communication to staff through coaching mentoring and training

The Ideal Candidate:

• Demonstrated leadership experience in business and operations within a manufacturing environment. (Preferably Electrical or Electronic)
• Proven experience implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing and Transactional Lean to drive improvement
• Comfortable and proficient with new technology and tools
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams, transform culture and gain buy in from employees
• Effective communicator who can challenge status quo, motivate others, and demonstrate a passion for excellence
• Post-Secondary Education
