Stays current on production trends recommends any changes needed for improvement and ensures all requirements are attained.

Computer skills including Word and Excel.

Demonstrated Lean Manufacturing skills including background in a consumer goods environment.

Excellent decision-making skills, a positive attitude, time management skills, communication, and analytical skills.

Provide day-to-day management of plant operations for Production.

Identify improvement opportunities and work closely with all levels of management to implement these changes.

Provide Plant-level financial management, i.e., Budget, purchasing, inventory, capital expenditures, etc.

Coordinate plant activities with departmental managers to ensure that manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Bachelor’s Degree or technical Certificate in a related field preferred

5+ years of experience as a Plant/Manufacturing Manager (required)

Bachelor’s Degree in business, management, or operations from an accredited post-secondary institution (preferred)

Manages conflicts, addresses performance concerns, and safety violations.

Coordinates with the Operations Manager and scheduling department to ensure the execution of manufacturing schedules based on plant capacity.

Previous experience implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as; Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, ISO 9001, etc.

Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft programs (Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Effective communication skills, adept leadership, and training capabilities, collaborating across all management levels and non-supervisory staff.

Over a decade of experience in a leadership role within Senior Production or Operations Management.

Ensure the delivery of high-quality products, safely, punctually, and cost-effectively, encompassing raw material availability (MRP), production, inventory management, and shipping.

Familiarity with material handling product lines through knowledge and hands-on experience.

Highly organized, exemplifying excellent time management.

Responsibilities of the Senior Plant Manager:

A minimum of 7 years of supervisory/management experience in a Chemical/Manufacturing environment
