The Job

• Direct and coordinate daily operations of the Materials Manufacturing plant
• Lead and manage a diverse team, ensuring efficient performance across all levels of staff
• Maintain and oversee plant facilities and equipment, arranging repairs or replacements when necessary
• Establish and monitor metrics and performance targets to drive effective asset utilization
• Provide training and educational resources to staff as required
• Spearhead the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding process for new hires
• Champion chemical safety protocols to create a secure working environment
• Develop and implement systems and processes to enhance productivity and uphold quality standards
• Uphold compliance with company policies and industry regulations at all times

What we need from you

• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing operations, project planning, cost control, and program management
• Profound understanding of regulatory requirements for operating manufacturing plants
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in software applications and a keen familiarity with technology
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze root causes and address operational challenges
• Strong competence in operating plant equipment safely and efficiently
• Solid grasp of business and management principles, including budgeting, strategic planning, and resource allocation
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and exceptional organizational skills
• A minimum of 7 years of supervisory/management experience in a Chemical/Manufacturing environment
