Chemtec was founded in 2013 and currently operates a 45,000 sq. ft. facility in Canada. The products manufactured by Chemtec are primarily intended for export. Chemtec's expertise and know-how make it a leader in its field, and these combined elements support Chemtec's expansion efforts as it works on expanding its facility and prepares its expansion plan for the EMEA region by 2025. To support our company's efforts, we are seeking a chemistry technician to join our team in Laval.

Job Overview:

As a chemistry technician, your role will be crucial in the quality control process of manufacturing our floor coatings:

• Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
• Be involved in training and supervising other workers involved in chemical processing and work closely with other professionals to develop improved production processes and methods.
• Interpret test results and write accurate technical reports. You will need to stay informed about advancements in this field and share new knowledge with your colleagues.
• Understand and follow instructions and specifications provided by our engineers and chemists.
• Be responsible for selecting and setting up the necessary laboratory equipment to perform tests, experiments, and analyses related to our floor coatings.
• Utilize your expertise in conducting qualitative and quantitative tests on various substances and materials, as well as in preparing chemical solutions.

Desired Profile:

• Strong analytical, observational, and time management skills.
• Experience in the field of epoxy paint polymers.
• Thorough knowledge of laboratory safety measures is essential, and computer and statistical skills would be appreciated.
• Ability to follow instructions and concentrate for long periods.
• Attention to detail and good stress management.
• Relevant previous experience in the field.

$57,000 - $65,000 CAD per year
