L’usine de Mirabel se compose d’une équipe spécialisée dédiée à la fabrication et le développement de pièces pour l’espace et pour le militaire en utilisant une variété de technologies.



Description du poste :

Ce poste supportera l’équipe d’ingénierie pour le développement et la production de pièces en composite pour l’industrie spatiale, civile et militaire. Le technicien sera chargé de générer et mettre à jour les documents de production tels que les instructions de travail. Il fournir un soutien aux opérations quotidiennes pour toutes les zones de fabrication incluant de l’aide aux développements R&D.


À ce titre, vous devrez:

  • Assister l'équipe d'ingénierie dans les tâches liées aux méthodes, à la conception, et au développement, telles que
  • Accéder au système ERP pour valider les documents de production.
  • Comprendre et suivre les procédures de l'entreprise afin de maintenir des normes de qualité élevées.
  • Maintenir un environnement de travail propre et sûr, effectuer le travail en toute sécurité et identifier les dangers.
  • Soutenir l'assurance qualité, la logistique et l'amélioration continue.
  • Remplir toutes les tâches d'un technicien en composites, selon les besoins, pour soutenir la production et les activités de développement/R&D.
  • Générer, examiner et réviser les fichiers de production, tels que les fichiers CAO (CATIA V5), les kits de matériaux, les programmes CNC, optimisation des patrons de découpe.
  • Coordonner les activités de contrôle des documents.
  • Coopérer avec les responsables de programme, les équipes d'ingénierie, et l’équipe de fabrication en ce qui concerne les problèmes techniques liés à la production de pièces.
  • Revoir les données techniques des clients/fournisseurs.
  • Générer, revoir et approuver les documents de production (procédures, dessins, instructions de travail, traveler, ODS) et les procédures liées à la fabrication.
  • Le développement des processus de fabrication.
  • Initier et suivre les demandes de services d'outillage.


Vous avez:

  • BAC en génie (matériaux, mécanique, industriel, aérospatial, ou équivalent), ou DEC avec deux (2) ans d'expérience, ou AEC/DEP avec cinq (5) ans d'expérience dans la fabrication de composites
  • Connaissance des logiciels de CAO requise, de préférence CATIA V5. CATIA Composite Workbench, Fibersim ou 3DVia, un atout.
  • Maîtrise du français et de l'anglais (écrit et oral).
  • Expérience avec matériaux composites un atout.
  • Connaissance de la suite Office (Word, Excel).

An affiliate of the Airbus Group of Companies, STELIA is a recognized leader in the design, analysis, and development of advanced composite structures for the aeronautic, defense and space markets. Headquartered in Lunenburg, NS, and with a site in Mirabel, QC, we operate more than 180,000 sq feet of facilities that are focused on composite, metal or hybrid sub-assemblies for major aeronautical players and innovating global solutions.


The Mirabel facility features a specialized team dedicated to the manufacture and development of space and military parts using a variety of technologies.


Role Description:

Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, you will support the engineering teams for the development and the production of composite parts for space, civil and military applications. The technician generates and updates production documents such as work instructions and provide day-to-day operations support for all manufacturing areas including R&D development.


In this role, you will:

  • Assist the engineering team with tasks related to Methods, Design, Development such as:
  • Generate, review, and approve production documentation (procedures, drawings, work instructions, travelers, ODS) and manufacturing-related procedures.
  • Understand and follow the company procedures to maintain high quality standards.
  • Generate, review, and revise files for production such as CAD files (CATIA V5), material kits, CNC programs, material nesting.
  • Initiate and follow-up tooling service requests.
  • Review of customer/supplier data packages
  • Support quality assurance, logistics, and continuous improvement.
  • Fulfill all the tasks of a composites technician as needed to support production and development activities.
  • Access ERP systems to release production documents.
  • Coordinate Document control activities.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment and perform work safely and identify hazards.
  • Development of Manufacturing Process
  • Cooperate with the program managers, the engineering and manufacturing teams regarding technical issues with the production of parts.


You have:

  • Full professional proficiency both in French and English required (written and oral)
  • Bachelors in engineering (Materials, Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, or equivalent), or DEC with two (2) years of experience, or AEC/DEP with five (5) years of experience, in composites manufacturing or equivalent.
  • Experience in application of word processing (e.g. MS Office Word), spreadsheets (e.g. MS Office Excel) software required. Experience with MS Office Access is an asset.
  • Experience in composite manufacturing considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of CAD software required, preferably CATIA V5. Knowledge of Composites Workbench, Fibersim an asset.
