Description:

• Evaluates moderate and complex manufacturing processes by conducting process analysis, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, conferring with suppliers, and soliciting observations from operators/production technicians.

• Develops moderate and complex manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; and conferring with equipment suppliers. Prepares written and graphical work instructions for the communication of manufacturing requirements to production personnel.

• Refines and enhances manufacturing processes by applying continuous improvement and key lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques to areas of production. Develops tooling and fixtures for products and processes and works with tooling vendors to supply such designs and equipment.

• Prepares documentation for new and enhanced manufacturing processes. May be assigned to special projects for a variety of products and processes.

• Identifies and implements solutions for issues relating to safety, quality, productivity, and cost reductions.

• Evaluates capital equipment investments and prepare cost justifications. Designs and prepares concept drawings of new equipment or modifications to existing equipment. May be asked to manage the overall implementations of capital equipment projects

• Capable of handling projects for manufacturing line transfers, Product transfer within plant and to different plant.

Minimum 4-5 years of related experience ( not more than 15 years of experience) preferred. CNC programming knowledge preferred.
