Contract Duration: ASAP - 6 months (Possibility of extension)
Location Address: 4 King Street W 9th floor Hybrid – onsite once a week
Typical Day in Role:
• Organizes and moderates working sessions, including leading discussions, managing group dynamics, and maintaining group focus, to work towards accomplishing the stated goal(s) of the session within the context of the project objectives
• Has the ability to quickly build extensive knowledge about the existing SWIFT wires data processes and transformation rules to be able to propose possible enhancements
• Ensures business requirements are documented clearly and in accordance with the project’s scope
• Ensures data analysis and investigation are conducted and POCs are applied for any identified solutions
• Ensures project plan activities are executed on time and monitors and reports on the status of these activities
• Leads the production of business impact analysis from a data perspective and presents the findings
• Supports other AML initiatives for Transaction Monitoring and Client Risk Rating businesses
• Provides subject matter expertise for all wires data related matters to enhance the overall quality of the wires data
• Conducts BAT (Business Acceptance Testing) for all wires data changes
• Supports data governance activities
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 5 + years progressive business analysis experience in leading banks (preferably one of the top 5 banks in Canada)
2) 5 + years of working experience with SWIFT Wires raw data - knowledge in SWIFT wires raw tag data and their purpose and working experience with SWIFT MT103, MT202 & MT205
3) 5 + years of proven experience with SQL – Excellent knowledge of Database concepts/structure – Experience in writing moderate to complex SQL queries including table joins, SQL functions and conditions
4) 5+ years working experience in AML in a bank - in Transaction Monitoring and also preferably in Client Risk Rating including excellent knowledge of the data elements related to these domains
5) Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel – Vlookups, pivot tables, managing large sets of data etc.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Experience leading medium to large size projects
2) PowerPoint skills – to share findings with the business
