Manufacturing Manager

VPC Group Inc is looking for a dynamic Manufacturing Manager to support our polyurethane foam manufacturing operation in North York, ON.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Manufacturing Manager responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
·Demonstrate and uphold VPC Group’s Core Values.
·Can effectively foster a positive environment and employee experience.
·Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, understanding the importance of developing and maintaining cohesive team relationships to facilitate continual improvement.
·Work with Human Resources to ensure disciplinary action is applied fairly and consistently when required in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures
·Lead supervisors in the daily execution of the production schedule, ensure the department meets all production orders at the right quality, time, and lowest cost.
·Provide guidance in developing plant standards and process controls.
·Delegate production and safety compliance responsibility to Production Manager, Supervisor and Quality Control staff.
·Maintain a clean and safe plant, with a strong commitment to Health & Safety, ensuring conditions in all production areas are safe to prevent incidents and injuries in the plant.
·Investigate production problems and engineer solutions through equipment, methods, manpower or procedural changes.
·Oversee and manage production by coordinating materials, manufacturing, and shipping.
·Schedule and conduct production meetings.
·Ensure accurate daily reporting of production data, generate trend reports.
·Available on and off hours for consultation with Production Supervisors, Lead hands and other staff to provide assistance as required to minimize downtime, reduce OT.
·Manage labour and budget costs.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
·Post secondary education in a related field, preferably a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
·Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership and management experience in a manufacturing facility, managing fifty (50) plus employees, with proven ability to build and develop high performing teams.
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
·Ability to understand production priorities, labor utilization, reducing waste in the process.
·Ability to generate, maintain and respond to key performance indicators to move the process forward.
·Strong people management and conflict resolution skills.
·You are an efficient self-starter.
·Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
