Position Overview:


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Manager to lead and oversee our Quality Assurance team. As the QA Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of 9 individuals and driving the establishment of efficient ways of working to significantly enhance product quality. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products and services to our customers. Responsibilities:
  • Define clear quality standards, processes, and methodologies to ensure consistency and effectiveness across projects.
  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for skills development.
  • Implement best practices, industry standards, and emerging trends to continuously improve the QA process.
  • Develop and manage quality assurance metrics for performance improvement of all teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and customer support, to enhance overall product quality.
  • Analyze and evaluate existing QA practices, tools, and techniques, and recommend enhancements or new solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between the QA team and other departments to address issues, manage expectations, and provide status updates.
  • Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of Quality Assurance professionals.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Review and analyze test results, identify defects, track issues, and collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Define and execute testing strategies, including manual and automated testing, performance testing, regression testing, and usability testing.
  • Core responsibilities:
  • Identify areas for improvement in the QA process and establish efficient ways of working to drive productivity and quality gains.
  • Lead the development of comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure adequate coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand product requirements, prioritize testing efforts, and ensure effective communication throughout the QA process.
  • Team Management:
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, innovation, and personal growth.
  • Quality Assurance Strategy:
  • Act as a strong individual contributor, deeply understanding the complexities of our software to ensure quality.
  • Manage and optimize the end-to-end QA process, from initial design through release, ensuring high velocity releases and prompt rollouts.
  • Test Planning and Execution:
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and potential bottlenecks that may impact product quality and delivery timelines.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy that aligns with business goals and objectives.
  • Process Improvement:


Requirements:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Manufacturing or industrial technology experience is essential.
  • Ready to learn and do testing - lead by example
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
  • Experience with industrial control systems testing and automation systems (nice to have).
  • Must be authorized to travel to the US on business
  • Background & experience
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, quality assurance concepts, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in test planning, test execution, and defect management.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) as part of a QA team and delivering high-quality software products.
  • Knowledge of embedded development processes and testing methodologies (nice to have).
  • Technology experience
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
  • In-person position
  • Must have experience as a Manual and Automated QA Individual Contributor
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and its application in software testing (nice to have).
