Manufacturing Coordinator Jobs

Bouling Metals is a small custom fabrication shop located in Hamilton/Stoney Creek area, with 10-15 employees. We specialize in welding/fabrication of carbon steel and alloys.

The Manufacturing Coordinator is responsible for the overall manufacturing strategy and day-to-day direction of the shop, inclusive of order processing, procurement, schedule support and preparing job packages.

Responsibilities include:

• Cost estimates and quotes for customers
• Assist in identifying and coordinating the purchase of materials and outsourced processes
• Liaise with suppliers ensuring on time delivery of orders
• Ensure quality procedures, Health & Safety and industry guidelines are followed (ISO 9001:2015)
• Produce Job Travelers/packages for fabrication
• Other duties as assigned by Management
• Regularly updating current production lead times with the sales team
• Production planning/scheduling – In conjunction with the Foreman, plan workloads to meet required due dates, including efficiently assigning shop employees to perform work and verifying job packets are inclusive of necessary information and drawings.

Skills & Experience

• Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor Professional, or similar programs
• Self-motivated with a focus towards achieving results
• Working knowledge of ERP system such as JobBoss an asset
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of a steel fabrication shop, ISO & CWB requirements
• Knowledge of welding procedures and processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints
