Job Description

Position Overview:

Our client, a key player in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a competent and proactive Millwright to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation and repairs of all plant equipment, as well as the maintenance of the plant infrastructure. This role requires a strong technical aptitude, the ability to troubleshoot electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and a dedication to continuous improvement of processes and efficiencies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Enforce safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Uphold standard processes and maintenance schedules to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and equipment.
  • Read diagrams and drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment including electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Collaborate with plant management on planning and executing long-term projects.
  • Install, align, and dismantle industrial machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, fans, sensors, and motors.
  • Adjust, update and develop the preventative maintenance program with plant management.
  • Maintain accurate records, follow up on tasks assigned, and ensure completion times for deficiencies.
  • Respond to breakdowns on equipment, utilizing the current maintenance request program.


Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organizational skills; ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate.
  • Demonstrable experience in installing, aligning, and dismantling industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Excellent ability to troubleshoot and repair electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proven experience as a Millwright or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using computer software for maintenance tasks and record-keeping.
  • Commitment to safety regulations and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Strong skills in reading diagrams and technical drawings.
  • Ability to lead and support a maintenance team effectively.
