Assist Millwrights in the maintenance, repair, and installation of industrial equipment used in metal recycling processes

Participate in equipment inspections and learn to identify mechanical issues

Support Millwrights in conducting routine maintenance and servicing of machinery

Successfully obtained your Red Seal Millwright, Welder, or Fabricator certification;

Ability to think on your feet and utilize strong problem-solving capabilities;

Experience working in food and beverage, manufacturing, and distribution will be considered an asset.

Observe, test, and install newly built machinery;

Cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance work on machineries;

Interpret and study blueprints to determine correct installation and operation of machinery;

2-3 Years' experience in a Manufacturing/Food production environment

Has experience in safely operating shop equipment (lathe, mill saw, milling machine etc.)

Welding experience is an asset.

The Millwright is responsible for performing maintenance activities to maintain all primary and support production equipment to produce quality products.

Troubleshoot conveyor belts, packaging machines, labelers, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, valves, cylinders, conveyance systems, gear boxes and pump.

Industrial mechanics (millwrights) are responsible for assembling, installing, aligning, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, inspecting, dismantling and moving machinery and equipment

Troubleshooting may include diagnosing irregularities and malfunctions, making adjustments, and repairing or replacing parts

Collaborate with plant management on planning and executing long-term projects.

Adjust, update and develop the preventative maintenance program with plant management.

Proven experience as a Millwright or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.

Strong skills in reading diagrams and technical drawings.

Demonstrable experience in installing, aligning, and dismantling industrial machinery and equipment.

Exceptional organizational skills; ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate.

2-3 Years' experience in a Manufacturing production environment

Operate hoisting and lifting devices (overhead crane, hoists)

Clean lubricate industrial equipment’s (seals, bearings, motors)

Focus Area: Communicate with engineering, management, and other trades colleagues as needed to help determine a suitable course of repair.

Millwright certification with inter-provincial tickets

Previous experience working in a pump or valve shop is preferred

Previous machinery install experience is preferred

Focus Area: Assembly, repair and overhaul of process equipment, including HPGR, pumps, cyclones, and valves

Focus Area: Support clients by problem solving mechanical issues in both a shop and field environment.

2 to 3+ years' experience as an industrial millwright

Knowledge of conveyor systems and power transmission

Skilled with mills, lathes, grinder and welding

Previous experience in a JIT work environment preferred.

Install, maintain and program Atlas Copco DC electric torque tools

Assists with the installation of plant equipment

Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

Must hold a valid Ontario License Certificate of Qualification issued by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities.

Perform all duties in accordance with Trade 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright.

Possess all common hand tools and able to read, interpret and use micrometers, verniers, etc.

Basic operations of machine tools, lathes, mills, grinder drills, etc.

Capable of lining up shafts and couplings etc.

CLAC benefits, RRSP, training allowance

Experience working on Caterpillar equipment and Caterpillar service information systems required

Previous side boom, shovel, and pipeline equipment repair experience required

Experience working in both a field and a shop environment considered an asset

CLAC rate: $55.50/hr, time and a half after 8 hours per day

Shift - 14 on 14 off - nights

Pull test equipment as part of recertification

Ensuring all required parts and components for recertification are in stock or on order

Experience in moving, assembling, disassembling, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of machinery and equipment

433A Industrial Millwright certificate required (with mechanical experience).

Minimum of 3-5 year's previous experience in food or manufacturing industry.

Knowledge of TPM (Total Productivity Manufacturing) would be a definite asset

To maintain, troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment and share knowledge of applicable mechanical concepts and principles with other maintenance personnel.

Pay: $40 - 45/hr. + Benefits.

Proficient with MS Office tools, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) (ie MP2) is required

A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced, automotive or highly automated manufacturing environment

Previous experience utilizing PLC's, HMI, variable frequency drives, motion control, and CNC equipment

Work with other departments in the troubleshooting of heavy equipment

Create work orders in the computer maintenance management system (CMMS) for all work 10 minutes or longer.

Work proactively to continuously improve plant mechanical performance. Make recommendations for improvement to Maintenance supervisor, planner, and manager.

Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience with welding, hydraulics, blueprint reading, minor machining, minor electrical repairs

Previous experience with computers (solid understanding of MS Excel and Word)
