The Role

We currently have an opening for a Millwright to support our embedded shovel project in Fort McMurray at the Suncor Base Plant.

Compensation/Benefits

• CLAC benefits, RRSP, training allowance
• CLAC rate: $55.50/hr, time and a half after 8 hours per day

Job Details

• Travel allowance paid per rotation based on home base location
• Fly in, fly out (from Edmonton or Calgary)
• 12 hours per day
• Shift - 14 on 14 off - nights
• Local premium available for Fort McMurray residents
• Camp - room, board and meals provided

Key Responsibilities

• G.E.T work. Replacing ripper tips, ripper shanks, bucket teeth, inspecting cutting edges and reporting, measuring ice lugs and reporting
• Ensure FLHA’s are completed at the beginning of every job and work is completed safely
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Completing preventative maintenance on the equipment, greasing, lubing, adjusting tracks
• Maintenance repairs; Component change out, lube service, mechanical service, leaks, etc
• Complete equipment maintenance in line with OCL, client and industry standards, procedures, and practices
• Ensure goals are met and progress is communicated to supervisor
• Engine oil changes and oil sampling

Requirements

• Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness
• Either a CSTS/OSSA or BSO/CSO
• Strong work ethic
• Previous side boom, shovel, and pipeline equipment repair experience required
• Great attitude towards health and safety
• AWP/EWP
• Confined Space-Entry & Monitor
• Fall Protection
• Telehandler/Forklift Safe Operation
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Crane & Rigging
• Journeyperson Millwright certificate
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Once hired, will need to complete Suncor orientation and various other site specific training courses to access site. OCL Group will provide if you do not have
• Experience working on Caterpillar equipment and Caterpillar service information systems required
• Experience working in both a field and a shop environment considered an asset
