Manufacturing Estimator Jobs

Liaises with the Engineering team for technical support as required to address customers’ requirements.

·Demonstrated competence and verifiable work experience in estimating procedures and quantity takeoffs.

·Demonstrated competence and verifiable work experience in manufacturing pricing

Respond to technical queries from customers, sales representatives, contractors and other members of the estimating team.

Prepare detailed and accurate manufacturing cost estimates for projects based on materials, labour, equipment, and production timelines.

Consult with colleagues and other professionals to resolve cost discrepancies and to obtain data on materials, production times, etc.

Carry out other tasks as assigned by the Senior Manager Manufacturing, Maintenance & Project Management.

Prepare/review material requisition for purchase department after consultation with your Manager.

Review and analyze closed work orders with your Manager to ensure production margins are met.

Support the Commercial Proposal Manager and Manufacturing Project Coordinator as required.

Minimum 3 to 5 years estimating experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience in custom manufacturing environment and processes.

·Knowledge and ability to work with general cleaning equipment and materials.

·Knowledge and ability to work with insulation materials.

·Microsoft Office knowledge is an asset.

·Organized and able to prioritize workload.

·Able to accurately read a tape measure.

·Familiar and comfortable with using a variety of tools (or willing to learn).

Six Sigma experience, Green Belt certification a strong plus

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent. Some experience in the field.

Excellent team and communication skills

Build relationships between internal customers

Must be bilingual in French and English

An ability to take initiative and work with limited direction

Demonstrated experience and understanding of a steel fabrication shop, ISO & CWB requirements

Working knowledge of ERP system such as JobBoss an asset

Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor Professional, or similar programs

Knowledge of welding procedures and processes

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience in a general labour position or assembler

Experience with hand and power tools is an asset

1-2 years experience working in a lab environment specializing in genomic assay development and manufacturing highly desirable

Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Access and general understanding of ERP concepts

Experience working in a cGMP or ISO laboratory environment.
