We’re looking for our ne xt Manager, Investing Marketing Strategy. Could It Be You?


As a strategic thinker, this role will help lead and develop the marketing strategy for Questrade Financial Group’s investing products and services.


What’s it like working as a Manager, Investing Marketing Strategy at Questrade?


Reporting to the Senior Manager, Investing Marketing Strategy, you will play a key role in translating Questrade’s investing product roadmaps and revenue goals into go-to-market and holistic marketing strategies.


In this highly cross-functional and strategic role you will need to build relationships and manage partnerships with a variety of stakeholders including but not limited to our Product Management, Brand, Design, Content, Technology and Customer Experience teams.

  • Storytelling and are comfortable building concise, data-driven presentations to share your plans and ideas

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Investing Strategy & Relationship Management:


  • Build strong knowledge around the investing competitive landscape, customer insights, industry flows and trends to develop and inform product positioning.
  • Collaborate with investment Product Management to identify key functionality in each release, and the impact and value to customers
  • Lead competitive intelligence gathering, market research, and definition of customer and consumer personas.
  • Identify, quantify and select which market segments should be targeted
  • Synthesize consumer insights, market trends (global and local), and competitive landscape to drive marketing decisions.
  • Assist in the development of a holistic marketing strategy to support the launch of new investing products - including but not limited to market analysis, strategy and positioning.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop investing value propositions and product positioning that builds awareness and drives consumer demand.
  • Define, monitor, and maintain QFG’s competitive position
  • Support QFG’s mission, vision, and values in all interactions, plans and activities
  • Identify growth strategies and opportunities to engage with
  • Perform market research, gap analyses and competitor research to identify marketing opportunities and threats and develop strategies to leverage or mitigate each respectively
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and executives across the organization to gain buy-in on the go-to-market strategies

  • You have a successful track record of building strong product marketing strategies
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and ability to adapt to changing and growing priorities with an eye for prioritization
  • You have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility when re-prioritizing is necessary
  • You have 5+ years of relevant product marketing and/or marketing strategy experience
  • You have proven experience planning for, measuring and driving results
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field
  • You have advanced written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, comfort with presenting work to various stakeholders and audiences
  • You have a keen interest and/or knowledge of the investing space
  • You have excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail
  • You have the ability to build trust, reputation and credibility of marketing across the organization
  • You have the ability to collaborate and listen, a value for relationship building and are confident in asking others how to help clear roadblocks, and a genuine want to understand the opinions of others in order to incorporate it into strategies
  • You have an understanding of data and its importance in driving strategy, decision-making and influencing
  • You have experience working with analytics and reporting dashboards to uncover marketing insights
  • You have an understanding of how to influence cross-functional stakeholders and secure leadership buy-in, specifically when introducing new or optimized strategies
  • You are self-driven, results-oriented, with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality deliverables
  • You have a customer-centric mindset
  • You have sound business acumen, judgment and decision-making abilities
