The opportunity


Reporting to the Senior Manager, Early Donor, this role is responsible for providing campaign development and execution support across direct and digital marketing campaigns. This role supports the fundraising team with select campaign execution and analytics across campaigns including, but not limited to direct mail, email, donation forms, lead generation and website.  The portfolio focuses on both early donors (acquisition of donors and onboarding them to Heart and Stroke), as well as supporting our Direct Digital Marketing portfolio tactics.


How You Will Make An Impact Every Day


Campaign Development and Execution Support 


  • Coordinates French adaptation and creative development for both with responsibility for securing the Quebec office reviews and approvals 
  • Ensure all internal program owners and stakeholders are supported on appropriate direct mail and email channel integration points for the Early Donor portfolio and Digital across Direct Marketing teams 
  • Own competitive and industry tracking and proactively summarize findings for Senior Manager, Early Donors. 
  • Assists in development of key support documents (e.g., campaign matrices and campaign overview) 
  • Develops and manages timelines to support direct and digital marketing campaigns, ensuring channel strategies align for all initiatives. 
  • Consult and partner within the DM team to share best practices to improve testing and deployment strategies and maintain user journey documentation. 
  • Provides document editing and proofreading support to the team 
  • Tests digital materials (emails, donation forms, landing pages, etc.) to ensure proper tracking, implementation, link functionality, data flow, personalization, copy and creative implementation  
  • Consolidates, analyzes, and summarizes the performance of Early Donor journeys and Digital campaign support and proactively provides updates to Sr. Manager and Associate Manager(s) 
  • Responsible for communication seed list tracking ensuring current, process is operating efficiently and records the campaign seeds as they come in 
  • Responsible for QA of staging links, campaign tracking codes, rendering tests and deployment criteria for email campaigns, as well as logging and evaluating testing strategies   
  • Leads email setup and supports deployment, working closely with the Associate Manager, Digital Direct Marketing and external vendors 
  • Reviews and approves direct mail dumps, counts and lives and cross-examines data for alignment with campaign strategy 
  • Coordinates asset hand-off and organization for internal and external  
  • Maintains deployment and testing calendars, and coordinates performance dashboard summary  
  • Assists in preparation of direct marketing campaign communication briefs and campaign wrap-up documents 


Campaign Monitoring and Reporting 


  • Collect data from various reporting tools, existing internally and externally (including but not limited to: Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Social Ads Manager, CRM and charity fundraising software) 
  • Consolidate data and ensure usable for internal review and ongoing tracking and support 
  • Report weekly on KPI data sources to inform Sr. Manager, Early Donors and team members across Direct Marketing 


 Administrative Support and Organization 


  • Takes detailed minutes and contact reports of meetings where follow-up and action items are required 
  • Validates codes and entries for internal invoice management  
  • Maintains portfolio campaign samples, both internal and competitive, as well as working files. 
  • Provides additional administrative support as needed 
  • Processes vendor invoices and coordinates with finance to maintain accurate portfolio financial tracking, and report budget tracking back to Senior Manager, Early Donors  
  • Collaborates with Senior Manager, Early Donors and Associate Managers on presentation decks, results, and insights as well as other related knowledge gathering requests for the portfolio as required 


Experience


 Who we need


  • Experience in marketing, particularly in direct response is an asset  
  • 2-3 years relevant experience, ideally in a fundraising environment  
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment involving multi-tasking and critical deadlines 
  • Previous experience in a hybrid remote/office environment an asset 


Education


  • Post-secondary education 


Skills


  • French language is an asset 
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, the basics of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud dashboard, Blackbaud or other related CRM software’s UI are all an asset 
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate at all levels with confidence 
  • Donor or customer journey understanding is an asset 
  • Excellent computer skills with sound working knowledge of PC applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Google Apps and Adobe Acrobat)  
  • Extremely detail oriented and accurate 
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to identify key priorities
