Overview:
Direct Service Professionals are individuals who provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities, mental health issues, or other special needs. They may work in residential settings, day programs, or in the community. They are responsible for providing assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating, as well as providing emotional support and guidance. They also help individuals to develop skills and participate in activities that promote independence and self-sufficiency.How To Become an Direct Service Professional:
To become a Direct Service Professional, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent. You may also need to complete additional training or certification, depending on the state you live in. You must also have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background check.Direct Service Professional Skills:
