Our leading financial client is seeking a Consultant, Direct Marketing Analytics (Credit Card Analytics) to join the team.
He/She will be primarily responsible for ongoing and analytical support of credit card acquisition and retention campaigns and programs, including the delivery of detailed campaign post-analysis at the portfolio and channel of acquisition levels, as well as the identification of strategic insights and recommendations that will help drive the business.
This is a full-time 6-month contract opportunity with a potential for extension, located in Downtown Toronto and will be working remotely for now, and later hybrid.
Responsibilities
* Provides analysis and reporting to enable direct marketing strategy by engaging in sales lead evaluation, direct marketing campaign measurement, and client-centric analyses across multiple lines of business (LOBs).
* Responsible for understanding credit card acquisition and retention programs and campaigns and the impact that they have in card members/clients.
* Conducts deep-dive analytics to provide business insights to assist the Cards team in meeting their strategic goals. Familiarity with a text vs. control campaign performance assessment methodology.
* Analyzes how campaigns drive client behaviour.
* Provide analytical support in the creation of cardholder journey stories and presentations to Senior Management, including quarterly business review presentations.
* Performs a consultative role in working with multiple card stakeholders and with cross-functional teams on card analytics.
* Understands and meets the needs of Card's stakeholders, including supporting with ad-hoc requests.
* Informs and updates leaders, team members, and business partners on relevant information in a timely manner
Qualifications
* University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Math or other quantitative disciplines
* 2-4 years experience as a Business Analyst preferably in credit cards
* 2-4 years experience in the Credit Card industry is strongly preferred, but experience in other financial institutions (preferably Banking) supporting analytical requests related to Lending, Investment, Deposit, and Insurance is also acceptable.
* SQL experience
* SAS experience
* Based on campaign performance data, must have the ability to drive insights and make recommendations for future campaign improvements in order to drive strategy and optimize campaign budget allocation.
* Good partnering skills and comfortable with fronting the relationship with multiple stakeholders.
* Ability to effectively communicate the results of his/her work to a non-technical audience, which can include individuals of different levels.
* Must enjoy and be proficient on the data front.
* Digital analytics experience is an asset
* Familiarity with building reports and dashboards is an asset
* Ability to present the results of his/her analytical work to a non-technical audience (strong story-telling skills)
* Excellent relationship-building, verbal and written communications skills
* Time management
