The Director of Marketing Strategy and Business Management is responsible for monitoring, measuring, analyzing and optimizing the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and team activities, as they relate to the overall company goals, and the objectives of the Global Institutional Marketing team and Global Brand team.


This role will collaborate closely with global marketing colleagues and business collaborators in Asia, Canada, the US and Europe to align on priorities, measurement, and tracking and helping to drive employee engagement. The role will also be responsible for collaborating with the Global Head of Brand and Institutional Marketing on setting strategy and objectives as well as regular team communications and collaborator updates on team progress and OKRs. This role will be an integral part of the Global Brand and Institutional Marketing leadership team, reporting directly to the Global Head of Brand and Institutional Marketing.


Essential Responsibilities


Reporting:
  • Evaluate current activities and find opportunities to optimize and achieve global alignment/efficiencies
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of ongoing Global Brand and Institutional marketing campaigns across regions
  • Monthly business reporting to global marketing
  • Serve as a centralized contact for strategic funding initiatives. Work with key collaborators to outline requirements and track critical metrics; assist in the development of cases
  • Overall budget management and participation in expense tracking and management
  • Quarterly business reporting on key marketing critical metrics and accomplishments


Employee Engagement
  • Track employee engagement and feedback within the department
  • Make recommendations for department sharing opportunities based on feedback and survey results
  • Continuously collect feedback within the department and create practical solutions to address common themes
  • Coordinate with department heads on action planning sessions and determine regular check points for follow up on action plans
  • Manage and analyze results of quarterly marketing team meeting surveys


Communications


  • Identify ways to improve the amplification of team achievements and how they connect to business goals and objectives
  • Build communications strategy with leadership and develop regular team communication materials (monthly newsletters, quarterly review materials, collaborator presentations)
  • Engage with team leaders and counterparts in Retail and Retirement to share standard processes and form a community of practice

Job Requirements


  • Bachelors degree
  • 8-10+ years of experience in the asset management or related industry; agency experience required
  • Management experience preferred

Salary & Benefits


The annual base salary for this role is listed below.


Primary Location


Toronto, Ontario


Salary range is expected to be between


$100,500.00 CAD - $180,900.00 CAD
