Director, Portfolio Reporting Jobs

As a Director, Portfolio Reporting you will oversee a small team of Portfolio Analysts responsible for the financial performance of the client assets as well as drive the development and enhancement of reporting tools and processes to efficiently provide various value-added reporting for management and for the client. The team also provides critical reports to management for the forecast and budget of client’s portfolios. The ideal candidate will have an strong accounting or FP&A background, experience in the real estate industry with complex commercial properties and leadership experience. This role is a hybrid role - ideally in the office 2-3 days/week and flexibility to work remotely.

Specific Accountabilities

• Guide the analysts in working with the Property Manager in the preparation of the annual budgets and ensures the completeness, accuracy and integrity of the forecasts and budgets;
• Develop tools for the analysis and projection of financial results, analyze information and drafts control reports to verify the quality of information;
• Sustain a highly engaged team by providing effective management, leading by example, communicating direction, mentoring, performance management, coaching and developing direct reports; and empowering individuals to make decisions and be accountable for their actions;
• Manage and participate in the implementation of new systems, processes and reports in order to simplify processes and increase the agility of the group with a constant concern for value creation;
• Support positive team dynamics and culture including a positive, open, team focused work atmosphere;
• Provide oversight to the team for in their analysis and consolidation of all internal and external reporting requirements;
• Oversee and participate in monthly, quarterly and annual reporting as well as presentations for JLL Senior Management and client when required;
• Directly manage a team of Portfolio Analysts including planning, developing, providing overall guidance and direction, and training the team to success, while operating efficiently to ensure the needs of the business are met in a timely manner
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise internally or from client queries.

• Recognized professional accounting or financial analyst designation, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in English and French, an asset
• Strong analytical skills and ability to gather, interpret and synthesize various data points and sources;
• Knowledge of Yardi Voyager and Advanced Forecasting and Budgeting, an asset;
• Advanced level of Microsoft Excel and proficiency with other applications of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint; SharePoint; Power BI/Query)
• Work in a fast-paced and evolving environment;
• 8+ years experience in financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting and financial performance analysis, ideally within commercial real estate
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills;
• High energy with a positive attitude;
• 5+ years of management experience
• Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented and deadline-driven;
• Strategic, innovative, challenge the status-quo and recommend improvements;
