Role Overview
This is an entry-level role. Starting salary $45,000 to $50,000 per year plus bonus.
As a Portfolio Analyst / Investment Administrator, you will support the President in managing the day-to-day tasks and operations required to run the firm. This role will offer you broad exposure to different areas of financial services and will reward you for your efforts to grow the business.
At Schwaben Capital you will be responsible for:
- Helping clients solve their problems by responding to their requests and queries regarding their financial accounts
- Assisting with portfolio management, including financial planning, investment research, trading, and rebalancing.
- Coordinate with back office and custodians for on-going administration as well as open and modify new accounts
- Ensuring client accounts have been allocated properly to execute recurring transfers and fee payments
- Ensuring recurring reporting is conducted on a quarterly and annual basis
- Assisting in business development activities: Marketing, and social media analytics, downloading lead information and data, conducting and follow-up on surveys, Webinar presentation preparation.
Candidates will be required to have:
- Undergraduate degree related to business/finance, computer science, engineering, or Information Technology
- Enrolled in the CFA program
- Excellent ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Drive to seek out solutions to problems on their own
- Experience using Facebook and LinkedIn and other social media platforms
- Interest in the investment advisory business and financial services
The following assets are nice to have:
- Data, process, and web-oriented programming would be highly beneficial
- Experience with CRM applications. Zoho One experience is of great benefit
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Experience in the financial services or sales sector
- Prior development of social media strategies or running influencer accounts
- Basic understanding of the Python programming language
- Experience with corporate Facebook and LinkedIn accounts
Notes
This position is an entry-level salaried position with the opportunity for performance-based bonuses and monetary incentives for business generation. This is not a remote role, and the successful candidate will be required to work at the office. The position can lead to a more senior role and for the right candidate to be a partner in the business. The starting salary will be between $45,000 and $50,000 plus a bonus based on the company and employee performance. Additional bonuses can be earned through business development and/or support thereof.
