Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Cannabis Marketing and Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling cannabis products to retailers and consumers. Your primary focus will be on building relationships with dispensaries and other retail outlets to increase product visibility and sales. You should have a strong understanding of the cannabis industry, its products, and the target audience.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote cannabis products and increase brand awareness.
Build and maintain relationships with dispensaries and other retail outlets to ensure product placement and maximize sales.
Conduct in-store visits to educate dispensary staff on product features, benefits, and usage guidelines.
Coordinate and participate in promotional events and trade shows to showcase cannabis products and generate leads.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling sales materials, including brochures, product descriptions, and presentations.
Provide timely and accurate sales reports, forecasts, and analysis to management.
Act as a brand ambassador, representing the company's values and maintaining a positive image in the cannabis community.
Assist with customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide exceptional customer service.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, operations, and compliance, to ensure smooth sales processes and adherence to regulations.
Requirements:
Passion for and in-depth knowledge of cannabis products, strains, consumption methods, and the overall industry.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with customers, dispensary staff, and industry professionals.
Proven sales experience, preferably in the cannabis or related industry.
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to secure product placements and drive sales.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, including scheduling and prioritizing store visits and events.
Flexibility to travel and visit various dispensaries and retail outlets within the assigned territory.
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality, given the sensitive nature of the cannabis industry.
Note: While formal education is not necessary for this role, relevant certifications or courses in sales, marketing, or the cannabis industry can be advantageous.
