CT Bakery is an international provider of thaw and serve artisan donuts that deliver a bakery-fresh experience. Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario Canada. CT Bakery donuts can currently be found in leading grocery stores, connivence stores, and institutions across North America, South America and Asia. We also sell into every major channel in the food distribution system and offer our consumers a variety of indulgent donuts. We do this by building a team that is passionate about making donuts and driven by a sense of pride and dedication.

Objective of the Position

The Vice President of Sales and Marketing charts the course, develops the vision, and implements the plan that will propel the company towards increased market share and greater brand recognition. Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President will be a strategic thinker with proven leadership experience. Accountable for delivering measurable results that achieves and exceeds revenue and margin targets, this position will be capable of contributing meaningful insight to the sales and marketing functions and play an integral role in the overall development of the organization.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities


·Serves as Chief Marketing Officer of the company, providing support in the area of marketing strategy and management; develop the annual marketing plan and the strategies, tactics and resources necessary to achieve goals

·Develop strategies and tactics for increasing market share within existing accounts and markets, while expanding into new selected verticals

·Develop and implement annual business plans and manage to monthly, quarterly and annual expense and revenue budgets

·Establish clear sales metrics and benchmarks for measuring progress and maintaining focus; creates a companywide marketing reporting function that can track, measure and analyze performance

·Collaborate with strategic partners and clients to research market needs and identify possible new product solutions

·Proficient in financial analysis and establishing sales and marketing budget and action plan

·Relative to time management, 50% of time should be actively prospecting, 25% increasing existing direct customer current base sales, as well as indirect/broker managed accounts with the remaining 25% of the time spent on account management/administrative requirements.

·Effectively manage/ lead third party brokers ensuring they are representing the core corporate values and are in alignment with fiscal sales objectives.

·Ensure third party brokers are providing insightful monthly reports which outlines activity and potential new business opportunities in a timely fashion.

·Provides supporting information to fully evaluate requested costing, such as current vendor, retails, retail GM expectations, potential volume and any special requirements.

·Take ownership of key Sales OKR’s and performance drivers including hiring, onboarding, training, and developing a high-performance sales team and culture

·Work with other supporting teams to scale our ability to track and provide sales feedback that help improve our understanding of the competitive, customer, and market opportunities

·Develop and implement enhanced sales processes, metrics and forecasting to monitor sales funnels and forecasts

·Analyzes expenses and cost transactions; ensures that transactions are recorded accurately and assigned to the appropriate projects and departments.

·Provides detailed financial analysis including breakdowns of project costs and overseeing the day-to-day costing processes

·Conducts market research as needed to recommend changes to pricing or business models.

·Prepares periodic cost reconciliation reports tracking data such as changing labor and supply costs.

·manage costing and costing processes for raw materials, finished goods (production items) as well as other input items (ex. Packaging)

·Calculate “blended” cost with current inventory + incoming inventory (on Purchase Orders)

·Work with the Production department to complete sample tests and document/ track common samples

·For new products, work with Procurement to understand raw material cost and Production to perform a sample test – then, provide an estimated sales cost to the sales reps

·Maintain feature costs and contract pricing for large customers

·Initiate developing more efficient and accurate costing methods, where necessary

·Document costing methodology and processes for succession planning and training purposes.

·Engage in frequent coordination and developing relationships with various internal functions – primarily: Procurement, Production, Sales, Accounting and Management – to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the costing processes

Requirements:

  • Excellent Organizational and analytical skills and IT fluency.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of organization.
  • Familiar with US and Canada business market.
  • Successful previous minimum experience of 7-10 years as a Sales Manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Ability to travel regularly.
  • Ambitious and enthusiastic with strong listening and interpersonal skills, motivated and driven to succeed.
  • Strong knowledge of performance marketing in both Web & App environments, with experience selling or managing related technologies and technology providers, including site tagging, ad serving, attribution and CRM Strong network.
  • Bachelors’ degree in marketing or business administration.
  • Valid Passport .
  • Strong negotiation, influencing skills and an ability to open doors across clients at all levels.
